Confidentiality
The Importance of Confidentiality in Group Therapy
Confidentiality in group therapy is of paramount importance, as it ensures a safe and trustworthy space where participants can openly share their thoughts, feelings, and experiences, knowing that their privacy will be respected and upheld.
When you join a therapy group at Cetas Psychology, your Group Leader will provide a comprehensive introduction during your first session, explaining how the groups work and outlining our confidentiality agreement. Only your first name will be visible on the screen, and your surname will not be disclosed without your permission.
Trust and honest communication are essential for the success of group therapy. Although you may start out as strangers, you will quickly become a valuable and trusted source of support for each other.
At Cetas Psychology, we are committed to maintaining the highest standards of confidentiality to foster an environment of trust and openness. By respecting each participant's privacy, we create a space where everyone can feel safe to share and grow.
