Group therapy

Group therapy can be supplementary to individual therapy or a stand-alone tool

  • What is Group Therapy

Our group sessions are facilitated by a clinical psychologist. It is a therapeutic approach where a small group of individuals discuss and work through common psychological issues. This structured environment allows participants to share experiences, provide mutual support, and gain diverse perspectives, fostering a sense of community and belonging. Group sessions at Cetas Psychology offer a safe space for individuals to develop coping strategies, enhance social skills, and achieve personal growth. This cost-effective option is designed to address various concerns, including anxiety, depression, trauma, and relationship challenges.

  • Costs

With an eligible Medicare Mental Health Care Plan (MHCP), you can access up to 10 Psychological Group sessions per year.

This is in addition to any individual sessions on your MHCP. At Cetas Psychology, there are no out of pocket fees for the 10 session. Phew!

  • How

You will need a valid Medicare card, Mental Health Care Plan (MHCP) and a referral letter from your GP or medical practitioner.
