MHFA STANDARD FULL COURSE
FOR WORKPLACES

Our MHFA courses are conducted by clinical psychologists who are accredited MHFA training facilitators. Principal psychologist Nishie Govender has worked in numerous employment sectors, including:

Participants

This course is suitable for delivery within workplaces or organisational groups. Individual participants are also welcome to register their interest with us.


Eligibility

Participants who have not completed MHFA before or it has been more than three years since last completing an MHFA accredited induction course.

Course Content

  • Recognising mental health warning signs and risk factors

  • Understanding risk factors for mental health problems

  • Awareness of evidence based medical, psychological and alternative treatments

  • How to give appropriate initial help and support to someone experiencing a mental health problem

  • How to take appropriate action if a crisis situation arises.
