Expression of Interest – Early Career Psychologists (Fully Remote, Contractor Position)

I am seeking expressions of interest from early career Psychologists who are looking to begin (or build) their experience in 1:1 therapy under Medicare and/or Workers’ Compensation. This opportunity is expected to commence in June and is offered as a fully remote subcontractor position.

This role would suit someone who has recently obtained full registration with AHPRA and may feel unsure about where to start in private practice. No other requirements or experience is needed.

To be considered for this position, you will need:

  • Full registration with the Psychology Board of Australia by June 2026

  • A Medicare Provider and Worker’s Compensation Number (or willingness to obtain one)

  • Experience using, or willingness to work with, a range of therapeutic modalities (e.g., EMDR, IFS, CBT, ACT, mindfulness-based approaches, psychodynamic therapy)

  • Ideally based in Melbourne for any in-person supervision; however, applications from anywhere in Australia are welcome as the role is fully remote.

Clients

  • Adults seen under Medicare or WorkSafe

  • Services will be bulk billed, or WorkCover subsidised

  • All potential clients will have a psychologist-led matching session to ensure suitability
