The Role of Collaboration in WorkSafe Recovery

At Cetas Psychology, we value collaboration with other professionals involved in your care, such as your GP, physiotherapist, occupational therapist, case manager or Rehabilitation Provider. When physical and psychological care work together, recovery tends to be smoother, more cohesive, and more effective.

At Cetas Psychology, we support clients by

·      Not charging a gap fee for psychological sessions

·      Managing payments directly with your WorkSafe agent

·      Ensuring relevant WorkSafe reports and case conferences are completed as required so treatment is not interrupted

·      Preparing you for independent medical examinations (IMEs)

·      A deep understanding of practices, legislation and requirements under the WorkSafe Victoria workers’ compensation scheme

We view psychological counselling not as a “last resort,” or only when you are “bad enough” but as an integral part of recovery from workplace injury - particularly when pain, stress, or emotional distress are present.

Psychological support

If you are an injured worker under WorkSafe Victoria and are finding that your mental health has been affected by your injury, psychological counselling may be an appropriate and supportive part of your recovery plan.
